This page does not yet include every event planned for the 2026–2027 season. We are actively confirming event dates, locations, and details and will publish events as information becomes available.
We currently anticipate that the primary competition events will be posted by mid-September 2026. Please continue to check this page for the latest additions and updates.
FRC Off-Season: The Remix
The Remix is set for Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, at College Park HS in The Woodlands. The event was first held in 2012. It is hosted by FRC Teams 1477 Texas Torque and 7492 Turbo Torque. Team load-in will start at 9:00 AM on Saturday. Matches will start at 1:00 PM and run until 7:00 PM Saturday evening. Matches will continue at 8:30 AM Sunday with alliance selection at lunch, followed by the playoffs at 1:30 PM.

We are excited to officially launch the upcoming FIRST LEGO League season with our Central Texas Kickoff Event for Coaches and Mentors.
Space Fest 2026
Experience innovation in action at Space Fest 2026! FIRST® Tech Challenge teams will compete in DECODE™ presented by RTX, the 2025–2026 season game, during this special off-season competition in Brownsville.
Attendees will also get a look at the new game fields for the 2026–2027 FIRST® CANOPY™ season, including BIOGLOW™ for FIRST® LEGO® League and BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX for FIRST Tech Challenge.

Central Texas Volunteer Training - FLL Founders Edition

The San Antonio Kickoff will include the new game reveal and community-led workshops designed to help teams begin the season with practical information, new skills, and stronger local connections.
McKinney Kickoff hosted by McKinney Steam Academy
Join McKinney STEAM Academy and local FIRST® Tech Challenge teams as we launch the 2026–2027 BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX season.
The new game will be revealed at 11:00 a.m., and McKinney STEAM Academy will keep its shop open throughout the day. Teams are welcome to stop by, connect with the local community, and tour the new competition field.
Corpus Christi Kickoff

West Texas will host two in-person kickoff events to celebrate the 2026–2027 FIRST® Tech Challenge season, BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX. One event will take place in Lubbock, with a second event in El Paso.
The Lubbock Kickoff is hosted by the Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering at Texas Tech University.
El Paso Kickoff
New this season, the University of Texas at El Paso College of Engineering will host an in-person kickoff for local El Paso FIRST® Tech Challenge teams.
The event will bring teams and volunteers together to celebrate the 2026–2027 BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX season, experience the new game reveal, and connect with the growing El Paso robotics community.
Austin Kickoff
Join teams, coaches, mentors, and volunteers from across the Austin area as we kick off the 2026–2027 FIRST® Tech Challenge season, BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX.
Kickoff brings the Austin FIRST Tech Challenge community together to prepare for the new season. Meet local teams and volunteers, learn through community-led workshops, watch the game reveal, tour the field, and begin brainstorming with your team.

FIRST Alumni Gathering Presented by Texas Tech University College of Engineering
Reconnect with the FIRST community at the FIRST Alumni Banquet, presented by the Texas Tech University Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering.
This free gathering welcomes FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition alumni, along with current high school juniors and seniors preparing to join the alumni community. Enjoy an evening of food, conversation, and connections with fellow FIRST participants and alumni from across the area.
Attendees are encouraged to wear their team shirts or polos. Food and drinks will be provided.
12th FLYSET International FIRST Workshop
Join FLYSET for a full day of learning, collaboration, and technical sessions for the FIRST® community. Programming will include sessions for FIRST® LEGO® League, FIRST® Tech Challenge, and FIRST® Robotics Competition teams, along with guest speakers, robot demonstrations, and opportunities to connect with other teams and volunteers.
